As a company we design outdoor play areas which encourage outdoor activity and promote children’s creative development. The Department for Education has identified outdoor play as a critical resource for the early years foundation stage.
There is a growing national movement recognising that school and nursery playgrounds are an excellent educational resource. After listening carefully to teachers, SENcos, governors, councils and most importantly children, we have created a range of fun but educational play equipment.
Taking the classroom outside is an extension of the indoor learning environment where children can work to a larger scale and enjoy the greater sense of freedom and independence.
All our equipment is suited to more than one task. Our aim is to help schools and councils by creating a safe educational environment for young people where learning is fun.
All items of our play equipment are manufactured on-site in Hartlepool by our highly skilled personnel. All work carried out conforms to the EN1176 standard. Our machine rolled poles are sanded smooth and pressure treated to the BSEN357 standard.
We can install all play equipment; however, if our clients wish to install the equipment themselves we are happy to provide them with written instructions. To ensure safe working practices, we carry out full risk assessments on all sites prior to commencing work and carry £5,000,000 (5 million) public and liability insurance. Due to the nature of our business all employees are DBS checked and verified before entering school grounds.
We offer playground inspection, maintenance and repair services. We are more than happy to provide advice and consultations on general enquiries made.
All our timber is pressure treated to EN351 standard and comes with a 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay. For rope work we use 18mm polypropylene combination rope with hydraulic pressure end fittings. Panels are Futura colour laminate to BSEN314. Decking will be either Wisa-Hexa non-slip phenolic faced birch plywood to BSEN314 or anti-slip decking redwood with two anti-slip strips to BSEN314. Security caps will be fitted to all exposed bolts and we use a range of special vandal resistant screws. All fixings will be either stainless steel or galvanised mild steel.
